Quick Start

Step 1: Install LaTeX

TexSlide relies on a local LaTeX environment for formula and chart rendering.

  • If you already have a LaTeX distribution installed locally, you can skip this step.
  • If not installed, please follow the Install LaTeX guide to complete the installation.

Step 2: Install Typst

Typst is another modern typesetting language supported by TexSlide, suitable for users who prefer faster compilation speeds or its syntax.

  • If needed: Ensure the Typst compiler is installed. If not installed, please follow the Install Typst guide to complete the installation.
  • If not needed: You can completely skip this step. Typst is an optional additional feature.

Most users can meet their needs with LaTeX alone. Typst is an additional option for users with specific requirements. If you’re unsure whether you need it, you can ignore Typst for now.

Step 3: Install TexSlide

Visit the TexSlide Website , download the appropriate installer for your operating system, and complete the installation. Please follow the Install TexSlide guide to complete the installation.

Step 4: Configure Preamble

We recommend configuring the preamble after creating a new document to ensure all examples in this documentation can be compiled and demonstrated properly. Please refer to the Global Preamble guide to complete the configuration.

Step 5: Insert Formula

You can now insert your first LaTeX formula in TexSlide. Please refer to the Insert Formulas guide to complete the insertion.
